Network Mgmt and Infrastructure wk 1
As I begin this class this week. I come into with a little bit of knowledge of Networking
and my Networking Troubleshooting is only limited to knowing how to troubleshoot an ISP at a Layer-1 level.
We also use a tool called Superputty to check the network connections of various devices like POS Systems,
ISPs , Switches. We are also able to see the mac addresses for those devices. So that we can determine that they are plugged into the correct port on the switch and has a stable connection.
In all of my previous positions we have always had a Networking Team to relay Networking issues to.
I have used Cisco Meraki applications in my previous job with Bob Evans as Tier 2 IT and POS specialist.
Networking is something I am very interested in learning more about Networking and troubleshooting techniques.
Currently due to COVD 19 we have been workig from home since March 16th,
Our current method of contact for our Networking Team has been via Web Ex chat.
Our company is currently in the process of upgrading all of our stores with a 4k Cisco 4921 ISR
to SD Wan using a Cloud Genics box that we can monitor with a utility to make sure it is staying connected.
This si brief overview of the liniited knowledge I have of Networking as of today.
