Our Discussion question this week.
Discuss whether there are too many standards organizations attempting to regulate the networking field. Consider whether consultation is necessary, and whether governmental or larger international bodies should be formed to manage standards. How would these bodies be formed and who should be in charge of their decisions?
Brought up the possibility of whether or not Governmental or Large International bodies should be formed to manage Networking Standards.
After some careful thought and reading http://www.tcpipguide.com/free/t_InternationalNetworkingStandardsOrganizations.htm.
My answer would still have to be no. Based on the information gleaned from reading this article
as well as my own feelings on Government Interference in the IT world.
The Tech world has the regulation covered quite well. As their are bodies that set Networking standards both in the United States and also Internationally.
This is plenty of regulation for Networking standards without needing governments to intervene.
